Sigma Alpha Epsilon - DePaul University

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon hosts thousands of runners who choose to make their Chicago Marathon experience more meaningful by running on behalf of a charity. These runners begin the training season with goals for personal bests in their marathon time as well as in fundraising dollars. The impact from every charity runner is felt around the world.

In 2008, more than 7,300 charity runners collectively raised nearly $10 million for organizations around the globe. The bar is once again set high for the 2009 Bank of America Chicago Marathon charities!

Aspire Big City Night ~RIO

February 21, 2009

Today three of our brothers and six of our pledges volunteered at Aspire's Big City Night event. together we were able to donate over sixty hours of our time. In total from the auctions, ticket sales and donations Aspire was able to raise around $200,000. All proceeds from the event go to fund Aspire's children's services.

"Aspire is a leader in comprehensive services for people with developmental disabilities & their families. Their innovative programs provide individualized support that help each participant successfully achieve their goals. In 1960, ten families of children with developmental disabilities came together and started talking about their experiences & together founded Aspire. Today, Aspire is one of the largest providers of services for individuals with developmental disabilities in west suburban Chicago."

This was the first involvement that SAE at DePaul has had with Aspire. Because of our great experience, we will continue to be involved with them in the future.
