Greetings! On behalf of the entire fraternity I would like to welcome you to the Illinois Delta Pi chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. We have revamped our website and inner workings so please feel free to look around and explore what it means to be a member of ΣAE at DePaul University.
As our chapter's Eminent Archon, along with the rest of the Executive Board, I have the responsibility of guiding our fraternity on the right path into the future. As a chapter we have changed a lot over the years. We've steadily grown in both size and influence on our university's campus. As we've become bigger and better we have complimented our existing activities with new and more diverse responsibilities. As of last year, our chapter's achievements are substantial. We have amassed hundreds of hours of community service and thousands of dollars of philanthropic contributions. We have built a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher and are consistently nominated and recognized for both national and on-campus awards. We participate fully within the Greek community and beyond at DePaul University including campus wide intramural activities and countless university sponsored events.
Many have a pre-existing notion of what Greek life should resemble at a college or university. While we respect other chapters' choices in organization and leadership, we run things differently here. With a comparatively small Greek community some may think that the process of joining our fraternity would be a breeze. Though it is true that we want to grow our chapter and Greek community as a whole, we run a selective rush and pledge process. We look for well-rounded individuals interested in an opportunity to better themselves through a unique brother-oriented environment. An individual who desires to join must be willing to work towards success for himself and his brothers.
